Q.01 How is this different from neoprene waders? +
Neoprene blocks water by being thick and non-breathable — above 40°F you sweat through it and end up wetter from the inside than you'd be from the outside. Toray Breathatec® is waterproof and vapor-permeable: sweat exits as vapor through the polyurethane membrane, so you stay dry from rain, river, and sweat.
Q.02 What temperature range do they work in? +
Comfortable from cool spring mornings (~30°F) through warm fall (~75°F) over a base layer. Below 30°F, layer thermal underwear or fleece pants underneath — Breathatec® keeps the moisture moving so layered insulation stays effective. Hot summer days under direct sun are the one place even breathable waders feel warm — no fabric solves that.
Q.03 How does the sizing run? +
Sizing is based on US men's shoe size for the integrated boot, with a wader cut to fit a base layer underneath. Currently we're shipping 9/10; additional shoe sizes are in production.
For best fit: measure your shoe size in the morning (feet are smallest), and check our size guide for chest + inseam ranges. We recommend sizing up if you're between sizes or plan to layer heavily.
Q.04 What's covered under the warranty? +
1-year durability guarantee, no questions asked. If a seam blows, fabric tears under normal use, hardware fails, or the boot delaminates within the first 365 days, we replace the wader. Cuts from sharp objects you knowingly took on (chainsaws, broken glass) and ordinary wear after a year aren't covered. Full terms + how to file →
Q.05 How do I care for them? +
Rinse with cold fresh water after every muddy or saltwater day. Hang inside-out in shade to dry — avoid direct sun and dryers (heat degrades the polyurethane membrane). Re-up the DWR coating once per season with a wash-in product like Nikwax TX.Direct or Grangers. Don't dry-clean.
Q.06 Can I use these for fishing too? +
Yes. Breathatec® is the same fabric platform Japanese fishing brands use for fly and surf wading — it's purpose-built for immersion. Our cut is mudding-tough (heavier reinforcement at knee and seat than a fly-fishing wader) but performs in cold creeks and tailwaters all the same.
Q.07 Where are they made? +
Fabric: Toray Coatex, Japan. Garment construction: in our partner facility, with full final QC done before each unit ships. We're a small team — every unit goes out checked.
Q.08 When will more sizes be available? +
